On November 3rd, 2023, the residents of Jajarkot, Nepal, experienced a tragic event. A powerful earthquake, measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, wreaked havoc on both lives and infrastructure. The reported loss of at least 157 lives in Jajarkot and Western Rukum, with numerous others sustaining injuries, underscores this escalating human toll.
South Asian Society and Nepali Students Society at Yale are now reaching out to you, our community, for support on December 3rd, 12-2pm at Cross Campus. Financial aid is crucial for immediate rescue, medical assistance, and the long-term process of rebuilding shattered lives and homes. Funds raised will be directed towards Direct Relief.
